From our first concepts, to the final lick of paint, the dynamic bond shared between our Mirvac teams has resulted in timeless projects that have evolved and endured with Australians over our 47-plus year history. This combined commitment to creating sustainable communities, is what gets us out of bed every day. Each decision we make when it comes to a new project is influenced by the end user – as opposed to mitigating costs or reducing delivery timelines.

This customer centric, quality-conscious approach has seen Mirvac go on to collect industry accolades across architecture, design, urban planning and sustainability, strengthening our position as a thought leader for the residential sector. A great reflection of this can be found at our luxury riverfront community, Cutters Landing, at New Farm in Queensland, which has collected two Queensland Architecture Awards.

Situated in close proximity to the Brisbane river, an expansive park and the CBD, our overarching vision for Cutters Landing was to enhance the area and make a positive impact on the local community. For the first time in over 50 years, residents had direct access to the riverfront, creating public access ways, a boardwalk and a 2,500 sqm riverfront park. To assist in this process, we incorporated the eclectic mix of heritage trees, buildings and walkways located throughout into the masterplan.

Initially, the project presented some interesting challenges, such as the imposing sugar refinery that had been a landmark in the local community for over a century. However, what started as a challenge, quickly materialised into an opportunity for our designers, who were able to restore the building’s exterior to its former glory, while transforming its interior to incorporate 29 premium apartments, utilising our considered design principles. Throughout the masterplan, we delivered a density that was substantially less than what had been allowed for, creating one of Brisbane’s most iconic, and sought after locations.
