the right place
There’s no such thing as a ‘typical’ loyal Mirvac customer but what they all have in common is a deep feeling of trust borne from their experience living in and investing in Mirvac properties. These are just a few of the stories that inspire us every day.

ESTATE UPGRADERS
AARON DAY
Single dad Aaron Day has worked his way from a modest home within the Mirvac masterplanned community of Everleigh at Greenbank to the house of his dreams which he lives in with his two teenage sons.
“It’s a position I never dreamed I would be in when my two sons and I first moved into Everleigh in May 2020,” says Aaron. “I’d been out of the property market for seven years and had little borrowing capacity but wanted to give my boys an opportunity to move into a ‘forever home’.
“We built a very basic home and moved into it with concrete floors as we couldn’t afford tiles and carpet at the time.
“Everleigh is still our ‘forever home’, but now we’ve been able to move into our dream house by selling the first Everleigh home and building a new house that’s 100sqm larger with all the bells and whistles, and views to the sport and recreation precinct.”
Sell and stay Mirvac converts like Aaron are a standout feature at Everleigh where strong resale values have made it possible for those who moved in five or more years ago to upgrade within later stages without uprooting the family.
With 37 per cent of its 481 hectares dedicated to open space, conservation bushland, bicycle paths, sporting fields, regional parks and wetlands, there is little incentive for residents to leave, especially when the community curated by Mirvac outshines anything nearby.
“It’s a safe environment with a country atmosphere. There’s a real community feel here and that’s part of what makes it so desirable, especially for families,” says Aaron. “My parents, sister and niece have all built in Everleigh and we couldn’t be happier.”
COLLECTORS
MATTHEW CHUNG AND LYDIA LEUNG
Sydney couple Matthew Chung and Lydia Leung are second generation Mirvac customers. Matthew’s mother bought at legacy projects Walsh Bay and Raleigh Park, where Matthew lived for a period, so when it came to buying property he instinctively knew where to go. Lydia’s mother followed her daughter’s lead and now also owns a handful of Mirvac properties.

The launch of Harbourside Residences presented Matthew and Lydia with an unmissable opportunity to add to their collection of prestige homes. They bought two apartments, a two bedroom with north east views and a one bedroom with city views, intending to rent them in the near term and later move in when their children are older.
Managing their portfolio, including three apartments in Pavilions at Sydney Olympic Park, one at Harold Park and two at NINE by Mirvac, is now their primary occupation allowing them to devote more time to raising their young family.
Mirvac quality is the single biggest reason the couple have become such loyal customers. “It was a no-brainer,” says Matthew of their decision to buy at Harbourside Residences. “We have never had to worry about building issues, there is very little maintenance and capital works, and all the leases have been strong.”
Lydia says the couple’s experience with Mirvac has led to a change in strategy, steering towards prestige properties for long-term hold.
“We used to buy other properties but we are sticking with Mirvac from now on. The quality is there and I don’t have to read the strata reports to know everything is okay.
“Harbourside allowed us to upgrade our portfolio. It will be a very long hold, like our properties at NINE which are doing really well.”

FAN FOR LIFE
LAVENDER AND MAN TSIM
Lavender Tsim is a self described Mirvac fan and has never once chanced her luck with another developer. Living in contented retirement at NINE by Mirvac on Sydney’s lower north shore, Lavender and her husband Man Tsim, have charted a path to financial security through their investments in Mirvac property.
Lavender’s Mirvac story begins in Chatswood when she moved into Altura in 2003, the first building in the Pacific Place development. She followed that up with three more off the plan buys for her sons, in Epica and Cambridge.
Lavender was still working her way up the career ladder, so as she tower hopped at Pacific Place, her sights were never set on buying the most expensive apartments within the development. When Mirvac launched Latitude in Milsons Point, the couple’s trust in Mirvac gave them the confidence to make their most ambitious purchase, selling their Chatswood apartments to fund the acquisition.
“It was very expensive but I bought because the Mirvac quality is very good,” recalls Lavender. “I tell all my friends if you buy off the plan make sure the developer is a good one.”
Lavender and Tsim spent 18 happy years living at Latitude with front row views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and fireworks displays. For many, Latitude would have been their forever home but the couple had a different view of what forever looked like. NINE by Mirvac offered the gardens and connection to nature that they were looking for, especially with three grandchildren to entertain, plus a revenue stream in retirement.
“The Latitude apartment was too big for just two of us so we sold it and bought three apartments at NINE,” says Lavender. “We live in the three bedroom apartment, one is for our son for investment and the other gives us an income.
“I know my neighbours and we talk to each other. It’s good to be in such a happy environment.”
HOUSE HUNTERS
KEN AND JUSTINA SHELLEY
Ken and Justina Shelley know better than most that Mirvac’s claims of quality design and construction are founded in truth.

As a plumbing contractor who has worked on several Mirvac subdivisions, Ken says the build quality is what attracts him to Mirvac, along with the customer support after completion.
The Sydney couple’s investment strategy since buying their first Mirvac property has been to focus solely on Mirvac built freestanding houses within masterplanned communities, some to live in, others as investments, to hold or sell.
The family years were spent on acreage at Dural where they had space for the five kids and a menagerie of animals, dogs and horses.
Always keeping a close watch on new Mirvac projects, the couple bought at Stanhope Gardens in Sydney’s north west, the Seaspray Estate on the Central Coast, and a couple more in Castle Hill.
“They ticked over well and were easy to manage,” says Ken. “We lived in a few of the houses we bought which we enjoyed.”
The 2011 development of Endeavour, a housing subdivision in South Coogee, tempted the couple to Sydney’s eastern suburbs where they lived for eight years in one house while renting out the other.
“In all the time we held Endeavour we never had a vacancy and if there was a problem, Mirvac dealt with it,” says Ken. “That is why I like dealing with Mirvac. The only thing we have needed to do in any of the houses is a bit of maintenance and update appliances.”
Mirvac’s expansion of masterplanned communities along the Georges River sparked a new surge of interest. “We bought four houses at Brighton Lakes; that is how much we liked it.”
Finding the eastern suburbs had become too busy for their tastes they recently bought in Georges Cove, another riverside development just a few minutes from Brighton Lakes.
Now settled into their new home, they are enjoying the peace and quiet, and water views. Just across the river is Riverlands by Mirvac, another Mirvac community under construction that may prove too tempting to resist.
