So much to Ador
Successful urban renewal takes time, vision, skill – and enormous patience. The reimagining of The Peninsula Burswood as a highly desirable residential lifestyle precinct on the Perth riverfront has evolved over two decades. The arrival of Ador shows Burswood only gets better with time.
Ador residents will luxuriate in a beautifully appointed rooftop Sky Lounge with private entertainment spaces including a dining room, wine bar and lounge area offering scenic views over the surrounding environment. A proposed private swimming pool and landscaped terrace at the ground level add to the lifestyle attractions.
Mirvac General Manager, Residential Development WA, Paige Walker, says a defining feature of The Peninsula Burswood is its unique location.
“Opportunities like this, to develop a 17-hectare parcel of land so close to the city, are few and far between,” says Ms Walker. “Successful urban renewal at this scale takes time, care and expertise.
“The Peninsula Burswood has evolved significantly over the past 20 years and is now home to a community of residents who are choosing to live in a prime location near to the city, the Swan River and many of Perth’s best dining and entertainment spots.”
Along with Crown Perth, Optus Stadium and Perth City, The Peninsula Burswood puts residents within easy reach of Victoria Park and East Perth and their bounty of cafes, restaurants and nightlife. Perth Airport is just 15 minutes away.
The delivery of retail and commercial spaces, and substantial public parklands and community spaces, has been critical to the success of the project.
Ms Walker says design and considered place-making has been key to creating a sense of community throughout the wider Burswood Peninsula precinct.
The contemporary design of Ador encourages diversity and community with its range of apartment typologies designed to appeal to a mix of future occupants from one, two, three bedroom and pavilion configurations. Amenities have been carefully considered to provide opportunities to connect with other residents.
“It has been really important to us to create a vibrant and interesting community,” says Ms Walker. “Beyond the way in which we have designed Ador and the outstanding amenities, we work collaboratively with our local partners like Optus Stadium to bring free events such as the annual Christmas markets to the area.”

Beyond the home precinct, the great outdoors beckons, with three kilometres of dual-use pathways meandering through magnificent 56-hectare Burswood Park along the river foreshore.
Ador makes a significant contribution to the design excellence of the precinct, with larger apartments offering premium specifications and finishes, and seamless connection to outdoor living.
Each apartment layout at Ador has been carefully considered to respond to modern needs. Generously sized rooms flow to large outside spaces, encouraging connection with nature and catering to West Australians’ love of entertaining and outdoor living.
Floor to ceiling glazing and large wrapping balconies sculpturally frame the aspect from each apartment, many taking in the Perth surrounds, and creating a sense of connection to the wider precinct.
The elegant and sculptural form of Ador is echoed internally with curved walls creating spatial fluidity and natural flow. A minimal and refined palette of natural materials creates calming spaces that complement the surrounding parkland and river.
Ms Walker says Mirvac always understood that The Peninsula Burswood would be many years in the making.
“Ador represents the evolution of our masterplan for The Peninsula Burswood. This has been a long- term vision and although we are not yet at the end of realising this, it is very exciting to see The Peninsula Burswood coming together. Ador has been designed in response to the modern needs of today’s residents. It is the right building for its time and place.”
