5th July 2023

Mirvac recently launched our Supplier Development Program which aims to build capacity in the social enterprise sector.

Prioritising suppliers who make a positive social impact allows us to use our purchasing power for good.

We recently launched our Supplier Development Program which aims to build capacity in the social enterprise sector. By helping them to scale-up, we hope to do more business with these four, as part of our goal to direct $100 million to the social sector by 2030.

Over the next 12 months, we will be inviting relevant people from across Mirvac to share their skills and expertise with these emerging businesses. Supported by Social Traders, the program will give these high-potential enterprises insights and learnings into how to become 'procurement ready’ for large businesses like Mirvac.

The program received an impressive 48 expressions of interest with the following four selected:

1. ReGround: who exist to help individuals and organisations create positive change through waste collection and minimisation.
2. YMCA ReBuild: proudly delivering commercial construction services while employing young people who have been in contact with the criminal justice system.
3. CommUnity Construction: empowering refugee and asylum seekers to build new lives.
4. Green Connect: creating jobs that are good for people and the planet by reducing waste.
