Mirvac Releases Sixth Climate Resilience Report

6th August 2024

As a leading property developer, we are focused on embedding climate resilience in our operations.

Since launching our sustainability strategy in 2014, we’ve been proactive in addressing climate-related risks and opportunities.

As we prepare for new climate reporting standards, we are collaborating with industry peers to enhance the consistency of our reporting. This is particularly important for Scope 3 carbon emissions. Additionally, we are engaging with industry groups to stay informed and drive collective action on climate change.

Sarah Clarke, our Group General Manager, Sustainability said: “Our latest report highlights our commitment to resilience and sustainability.”

“It provides an overview of the risks and opportunities we anticipate in the coming years, particularly focused around transition planning to effectively navigate future challenges."

“The report also contextualises recent climate events, including the confirmation of 2023 as the hottest year on record and the announcement of the world’s fourth major coral bleaching event in April 2024. These events underscore the importance of our efforts to understand climate-related risks and opportunities.”

In alignment with the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), the report marks the sixth comprehensive review of Mirvac's climate resilience efforts.

We are committed to transparency and collective action in addressing climate change, and we invite you to read our full report here.

Mirvac acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Owners of the lands and waters of Australia, and we offer our respect to their Elders past and present.
