Mirvac Opens Charles Mcintosh Parkway: Improving Connectivity for Growing Cobbitty Community
Mirvac has officially opened Charles McIntosh Parkway at Cobbitty, marking a major infrastructure milestone for one of southwest Sydney's fastest-growing communities - enhancing connectivity for current and future residents.

The opening marks another significant milestone for Cobbitty by Mirvac, which is expected to welcome more than 3,000 residents across 945 homes upon completion. It also comes amid strong population growth across the suburb, reflecting the broader transformation of Sydney’s south-west growth corridor.
Mirvac General Manager, Residential Development NSW, Warwick Bible, said the completion of Charles McIntosh Parkway was a significant milestone in bringing the growing Cobbitty community together.
"Charles McIntosh Parkway is a critical piece of infrastructure that connects residents from the community’s main entrance off Cobbitty Road through the heart of the neighbourhood and to future services, including the planned state primary school and childcare centre," Mr Bible said.
"As more families choose to call this community home, the new road will make it easier to access the places that matter most, helping to create a connected, walkable neighbourhood where people can live, learn and grow close to home. This is another important step in delivering our vision for a thriving community, supported by quality infrastructure, open space and future amenity."
Member for Camden, Sally Quinnell MP said: "It’s great to see important infrastructure like Charles McIntosh Parkway being delivered to support the needs of our fast-growing community. As more families make Cobbitty and its surrounding areas their home, it’s important that local infrastructure keeps pace and that people have the connections they need as the area develops. I’m pleased to see this project reaching completion and I’d like to thank Mirvac for their work in helping deliver this vital piece of local infrastructure."
Cobbitty by Mirvac is creating a family-focused community designed to support residents through every stage of life. Upon completion, the masterplanned community will include a state primary school, childcare centre, neighbourhood retail centre anchored by Coles, playing fields, parks and an extensive network of walking and cycling connections. Approximately half of the lots at Cobbitty by Mirvac have been released to market, attracting a diverse mix of families, first-home buyers, upgraders and downsizers seeking a connected, community-focused lifestyle.
The Mayor of Camden Council, Cr Therese Fedeli said: "The opening of Charles McIntosh Parkway is an important milestone for Cobbitty and reflects Council’s commitment to ensuring infrastructure keeps pace with growth in one of Australia’s fastest-growing regions. This new road will provide a key connection for the Cobbitty community, supporting access to current and future homes, education facilities and local services as the area continues to grow."
"The delivery of Charles McIntosh Parkway is a strong example of what can be achieved when Council works closely with partners like Mirvac to deliver the infrastructure our growing communities need."
At the heart of the community will be a landmark lake and park precinct, which Mirvac expects to complete by the end of next year, subject to weather conditions. Featuring walking trails, a nature playground, waterfront lawn, amphitheatre and community green for social sport, the precinct is designed to become a natural meeting place for residents and a focal point for community life.
